Donate to help medical students with
food insecurities
Dear DC ACP member,
Several years ago, our chapter learned that some medical trainees in our region are suffering from food insecurity. Learning to be a doctor is tough. Having to do so while being anxious about reliable access to nutritious food is that much tougher. Howard University, George Washington University and Georgetown University have all set up programs to provide access to food for their students in need.
For our members who know of someone or who are themselves in need, below are links to resources through the various universities.
For our members who can support these programs, please join us as we work to alleviate food insecurity amongst our medical trainees and donate using the links provided. Please indicate that you are donating on behalf of DC ACP.
Sincerely,
Patience White, MD, MACP
Governor, DC ACP
